All the paintings that were recently at the Cove Gallery show have been returned and are back up for sale at Etsy. You can find my shop here. Please note that all paintings sold through Etsy now come framed and ready to hang, despite the statement to the contrary in the listings.
If you’re a Cape Ann local, you can still see some of my work hanging at Flatrocks Gallery through January 3rd.
Iris Schwarz was kind enough to include one of my paintings in a treasury she made on Etsy. Check it out while it lasts. Thanks, Iris!
Prices at my Etsy shop will be going up across the board at the end of Friday, so if you were interested in one of the pieces at the ridiculously low price of $50 for an original oil painting, better get on over there…
Old Granite Pier, 5×7″, oil on panel.
Another painting of the sea this morning, that’s Straitsmouth Island in the distance. I was trying to capture that glow and painfully bright light of the morning sun, and that green line was actually there when I stared right at the area, so I’m pleased that it looked good on the painting.
This afternoon, I’m off to scout around for material for more complex and adventurous studio paintings. I’m looking forward to that. A little walk through the woods and some walking along the seaside trails is in order, I think. I also want to see if I can find some buildings that sit in the land just so, because I have a craving to paint something like that as well.
By the way, if anyone out there knows about an Etsy team for oil painting, let me know. I’d be interested in joining. And so would Sarah Burns.
Note to the left that I’ve included a widget for my Etsy shop, so you can now buy quickly and easily if you like what you see. Thanks for putting up with my crass capitalism.
Kurt
